Hikaru is a twenty-year-old member of LME's celebrated trio, Bridge Rock. Alongside his colleagues, who share his surname but are not related, he co-hosts a variety show featuring the character Bo, also known as Kyouko. The group's name is a play on words derived from Ishi, meaning rock, and Bashi, meaning bridge. Hikaru harbors romantic feelings for Kyouko and has proposed to her on multiple occasions, though his advances are consistently and unintentionally rejected by the oblivious girl.
