Summary
Kenji serves as the Earth father of protagonist Usagi Tsukino. Like his wife Ikuko, he remains entirely unaware of Usagi's true identity. A stereotypical, well-meaning Japanese salaryman, he is employed as a magazine reporter and eventually rises to the position of editor-in-chief. Kenji shares a deeply affectionate bond with his wife. In the early stages of the story, he becomes highly distressed upon seeing Usagi with Mamoru Chiba. Within the manga, Kenji stands out as the sole family member who perceives the resemblance between Sailor Moon and Usagi. He senses a newfound maturity in his daughter, which emerges when she finally recognizes her status as Princess Serenity, and observes that her beauty occasionally appears serene.
