Summary
Kōga Kuchiki is a filler character introduced in the Zanpakutō Unknown Tales arc. He wields the Zanpakutō Muramasa. Physically, Kōga possesses piercing green eyes and shoulder-length black hair, distinguished by a long red ponytail, short red tufts on the left side of his head, and bangs framing the right side of his face. During his tenure as a member of the Gotei 13, he wore the standard Shinigami Shihakushō, accessorized with a long red scarf, a light lavender obi sash, and a beaded necklace featuring a pendant. He also wore an intricate white headpiece known as kenseikan on the left side of his head, which held his ponytail in place with protruding red hair tufts; this headpiece symbolized his nobility, though he later cut off the hair and discarded the item to relinquish his status as a Kuchiki. After being sealed away for several hundred years, his youthful and fit appearance transformed into that of a withered old man. Personality-wise, Kōga originally exhibited a strong sense of duty and a commitment to making his family proud, maintaining a humble and serious demeanor toward the situations at hand. Internally, however, he harbored a deep desire to be acknowledged for his abilities and hard work. Following his betrayal and the realization that his previous life was gone forever, he suffered a mental breakdown. This trauma caused him to become consumed by anger and a craving for greatness, leading to immense arrogance regarding his power. He eventually viewed everyone else as worthless, including his own Zanpakutō, Muramasa.
