Yoshino, Chidori

Yoshino, Chidori

Summary

As the third member of Strega, Chidori is characterized by her gothic lolita fashion, self-harming habits, and artistic talent. In combat, she wields a red chained hand-axe. Serving as Fuuka’s counterpart, she utilizes Medea’s energy-radiating ability to shield the team from detection by Fuuka’s Personas. Like Takaya, she possesses unique Persona capabilities, such as healing others and manifesting Medea outside the Dark Hour. Chidori and Junpei cross paths by chance at Port Island Station. Initially hostile due to Junpei interrupting her sketching, she eventually opens up thanks to his kindness and persistence. Unaware that she is an enemy, Junpei shares details about SEES, leading Chidori to mistakenly believe he is their leader. On a full moon, she kidnaps him, thinking he holds the power to halt SEES’ mission against the Arcana Shadows. When the plan fails, she is wounded and imprisoned in a Kirijo-controlled hospital, where Mitsuru and Akihiko’s interrogation attempts yield little success. Junpei continues visiting, growing closer to her while worrying about her self-harm. After faking his death, Takaya reminds Chidori of her true allegiance, and she is broken out to rejoin Strega. Her loyalty wavers when forced to fight Junpei, and upon seeing him wounded by Takaya, she accepts her love for him. She sacrifices herself to save him using her Persona, passing on the passive skill Spring of Life, which restores HP each turn, along with Junpei’s sketchbook filled with drawings of him. In the Persona 3: FES expansion, players can revive Chidori if specific requirements are met.
