Summary
Mikan is the cheerful and energetic protagonist of the narrative. Standing at 138 cm with a weight of 33 kg, she is a ten or eleven-year-old girl born on January 1. Although she possesses a kind heart, her chronic clumsiness frequently leads her into trouble. She is highly athletic and enthusiastic, a trait that often annoys her more grounded friend, Hotaru. Mikan previously resided with her grandfather in the countryside until she learned that Hotaru was relocating to the city to attend an academy for gifted youths. Fearing rumors that Alice Academy treated students like slaves, especially given the financial incentives offered to parents, Mikan left her home and family to follow her friend. She was subsequently accepted into the institution by Narumi-sensei, allowing her to study alongside Hotaru and other children with extraordinary abilities. Her Alice is Nullification, an ability that resists Pheromone type Alices and completely negates the powers of other Alices within close proximity.
