Aida, Hikoichi
Summary
Hikoichi Aida is a first-year student standing 165 cm tall and weighing 52 kg. Despite his cheerful and energetic nature, he is not yet at the level of his Ryonan teammates and thus remains with the reserves under the guidance of coach Moichi Taoka. He functions more like a team manager than a full player, often taking detailed notes during matches while uttering his catchphrase, "gotta check it," and exclaiming "Unbelievable!!!" whenever exciting moments occur. He holds Hanamichi in high regard, having been convinced of his talent upon their first meeting, and also idolizes Ryota, a Shohoku starter who is only three centimeters taller than him. His older sister, Yayoi Aida, is a reporter for a basketball magazine, and Hikoichi likely inherited his habit of note-taking from her.
