Rech, Guy Christophe

Rech, Guy Christophe

Summary

Guy Christophe Rech, also known as Lesch, is a Shirogane and the puppeteer of Olympia. After sustaining fatal injuries and losing his left arm, he used the last of his Aqua Vitae to save Narumi Kato’s life. Known by the legendary titles "Destroyer of 200 Bodies" and "Olympia's Lover," he was responsible for transforming Narumi into a Shirogane. He also served as the mentor who raised the young Éléonore and, in the manga, supervised Masaru’s development as a puppeteer. Physically thirty-four years old, Guy is a handsome and calm young man with a habit of quoting Shakespeare. While he can be stubborn and cold-hearted, he possesses a deeply paternal nature. However, he has a peculiar weakness: he reverts to infantile behavior if a pendant containing a photo of his mother, Maman, is taken from him. Guy works at the hospital run by Dr. Leif Banhart, which serves as both a research facility and an orphanage for children suffering from Zonapha syndrome. The anime depicts him taking Narumi directly to Dr. Banhart’s Hospital, whereas the manga shows them hiding in France, the homeland of the Shiroganes.
