Summary
Gaishi, a friend of Kantai, previously served in the Baku Provincial Guard before Youko Nakajima ascended to the throne. Following the rebellion in Kei, he was assigned to a five-man squad tasked with defending the Forbidden Gate. When Risai arrived in Kei and forcefully entered the gate to plead with the ruler for assistance in locating the missing Taiki, the guards identified her as a dangerous intruder and prepared to kill her. Gaishi intervened at the gate to protect Risai from the guards' attack.
