Summary
Wakamiya Shinobu is a second-year student at Tsusaki High School in Kyoto and the reigning Queen of Karuta. Holding the title of Super A Class, she holds the distinction of being the youngest Queen in history. Born on April 22nd, she stands 160 cm tall and weighs 48 kg with Type O blood. She is left-handed and enjoys Yatsuhashi, soba with herring, and collecting Snow-maru merchandise. Her favorite song is Poem #40, which speaks of hidden affection. Shinobu is often described as cute, though her fashion sense is compared to that of a rock. She perceives opponents as vigorous at the start of matches, but feels as though she is playing karuta alone when on the verge of losing. She knows Arata well and has never defeated him in a match, yet she has beaten the Meijin multiple times, suggesting she may be the world's best Karuta player.
