Summary
Natsuko Shibuya first appears in the manga's File 891 and the anime's Episode 779. She is an English teacher at Haido Elementary School who was attacked while heading home. Originally from Japan, she studied abroad in the USA, where she met Jodie Starling during an unknown case. After Jodie saved her, Natsuko decided to teach her Japanese to help Jodie qualify as an FBI agent in Japan. Upon returning together, Jodie took a job as an English teacher on Natsuko's advice, and the two maintained their bond through regular phone calls. Natsuko also assisted Jodie in maintaining her undercover status. Physically, Natsuko is a young Japanese woman with an average, unassuming profile. She is not tall and has dark grey eyes, a smooth mouth, and long black hair. Her build is skinny, and she typically wears a green shirt with purple outlines. In terms of personality, Natsuko is a tender woman who is kind to everyone and never causes trouble for others. She is open-minded and enjoys chatting. Although she can be slightly sarcastic at times, she generally remains happy. She is a hard worker who often stays at school late into the night to ensure children receive their grades quickly.
