Summary

Kyon is a cynical high school student at North High who initially dismisses the existence of the supernatural, including aliens and espers, though his skepticism is tested when he interacts with Haruhi Suzumiya. His curiosity leads him to join the SOS Brigade, where he becomes the second member and the group's "fourth seat." As the only normal human among his nakama, he possesses no special abilities and dedicates himself to preventing Haruhi from causing excessive trouble. His real name remains unknown; the nickname Kyon was coined by his aunt and popularized by his younger sister.
