Summary
Fritz Verdemann is a lawyer who gained recognition for successfully proving the innocence of his clients, a legacy that includes his own father who died in prison before he could be cleared. Hired by residents in Dusseldorf following Tenma’s arrest in Prague, Verdemann is married and his wife gives birth to a daughter during the course of the series. He has a fondness for listening to Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz. Later revelations show that Verdemann discovered notes written by his father, suggesting his father may have actually been guilty. Seeking the truth about his father’s past, he allies with Suk to investigate the author Franz Bonaparta.
