Summary
As the sole human resident and head maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Sakuya occupies a unique position among its supernatural inhabitants. Hieda no Akyuu has theorized that she was previously a vampire hunter before being defeated by Remilia Scarlet, after which she was given her current name and began her employment at the mansion, though this backstory remains unconfirmed. Although she appears to be around sixteen years old, similar to the other young women in the household, Sakuya has likely served Remilia for a very long time, suggesting her actual age is much greater than her youthful appearance implies. Her social interactions are primarily confined to the other residents of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Her primary skills include cooking, knife throwing, and time manipulation, with the latter two defining her in-game presence. These abilities have frequently drawn comparisons to Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, who also possesses time control and knife-throwing prowess, to the extent that Sakuya has been depicted mimicking his poses in certain games. Despite being a full-blooded human, she is often associated with dogs by other characters, as she serves as the demon's faithful guard dog.
