Summary
Mana serves as a childhood friend to both Atem and Mahad, studying magic under Mahad’s guidance as his apprentice. She is a light-hearted, open, playful, and caring girl who shares a deep bond with her master and Atem. At the start of the Dawn of the Duel arc, she is a young magician in training who serves the priest Mahad. In the manga, she first appears after hiding in pots outside the palace, where Mahad senses her presence and urges her to emerge. Upon popping out, she exclaims that she will do her training later, prompting Mahad to tell her she will never become a sorcerer with that attitude. After Mahad’s death, she vows to become a great magician and eventually succeeds in summoning her own Ka, the Dark Magician Girl. Later, when Yugi’s group discovers her, Yugi explains the card game from their world, noting her reference to the Dark Magician Girl. Mana assists them in defeating Zorc and is one of only two people in the Millennium World able to see Yugi and his friends. A single manga panel indicates that she inherited the Millennium Ring after Zorc was defeated.
