Summary
Ootake is a talented chef who previously owned the seven-star restaurant Otogi Castle, known as Fairtytail Specialty Cooking, before being kidnapped by the Bishokukai. He shares a long-standing friendship with Komatsu, dating back to their days training together to become chefs. Following his abduction, Ootake joined the Bishokukai and formed a partnership with one of its elite members. He was also recently seen accompanying Chiyo on a mission to attack Shokurin Temple. After joining the Bishokukai, Ootake underwent a significant physical transformation, becoming notably more muscular and larger than before. Toriko suspects that Gourmet Cells were directly injected into his body, a theory supported by changes in his facial features. As a combatant, he wields two knives and possesses super strength, demonstrated when he carried his own weight plus Chiyo’s to leap onto Chiyo’s beast in the sky. Ootake possesses the rare ability to hear the "Voice" of Ingredients, a skill shared by only a select few chefs in the world, including himself during the Ichiryuu Full Course Menu. His impressive Food Luck, which the Sous Chef lacks, made him an ideal choice as Starjun's combo partner, as this ability is crucial for obtaining GOD. He is also proficient in the Revitalizing knife technique, a rare skill that few chefs can master. This technique allows him to stab a target without leaving any visible wounds, though the victim still experiences pain. While Ootake appears to have primarily used this knife for torture, the technique itself is capable of healing people as well.
