Summary
Masaaki Ooyama is a male student in the girls' 10th-grade class who wears glasses. In the original manga, he demonstrates strong academic ability, particularly in English writing, which surpasses that of his teacher upon entering high school. Yukari selects him to serve as the class representative, likely influenced by the common trope of bespectacled characters holding such roles. He holds this position until he resigns in September, after which Chiyo Mihama takes over. Later, he delivers the speech as the graduate representative at the end of the series. His presence in the anime adaptation is minimal.
