Summary
Wai-San Chang, also known as Mr. Chang, leads a Triad branch in Thailand. He is highly skilled in dual-wielding pistols, specifically the Beretta 76 and AMT Hardballer, employing a gun fu style that mirrors Revy’s own techniques. In fact, Chang’s proficiency surpasses hers to such a degree that Revy admits in episode 11 that she is not yet on his level, an extraordinary concession for someone who demands perfection. It is suggested that he is the one who taught her this combat style, and his mastery is likely why he is the only man Revy respectfully addresses as "Sir." His character design draws inspiration from roles frequently portrayed by Chow Yun Fat in John Woo films, such as John Lee in Replacement Killers and Mark Gor in A Better Tomorrow. Like Gor, Chang is a Hong Kong Triad member who fights with dual pistols and wears similar attire. In contrast to other crime lords in the area, he favors cooperation and joint ventures.
