Sanjou, Sakurako
Summary
Born with the belief that she was ugly, Sakurako endured relentless torment from her schoolmates. Her life took a dark turn when she confessed her feelings to Domyouji, who traumatized her by mocking her appearance. Although she was friends with Makiko during elementary school, she moved to Germany due to her family’s business obligations. Upon returning to Eitoku after undergoing plastic surgery, Sakurako resolved to leverage her new beauty to exact revenge on Domyouji by making him fall in love with her. She first crossed paths with Tsukushi while seeking assistance at Shizuka’s birthday party. While presenting a sweet and innocent facade, Sakurako reveals her true, malicious nature when unobserved. Upon noticing Domyouji’s growing attraction to Tsukushi, she conspires with her friend Thomas to ruin Tsukushi’s reputation. Thomas drugs Tsukushi at a club, after which Sakurako distributes incriminating photos of the two in bed around the school, turning the student body against Tsukushi for allegedly betraying Domyouji. When confronted, Sakurako admits she only used Tsukushi to get close to Tsukasa, declaring that ugly and average individuals like Tsukushi have no place near handsome men like the F4. After Domyouji rejects her advances and sees through her schemes, Sakurako becomes remorseful. She subsequently faces bullying from the entire student body regarding her plastic surgery, but Tsukushi steps in to defend her, even if she cannot forgive Sakurako’s past actions. Sakurako also exploits the situation to stay near Tsukasa after he breaks up with Tsukushi due to his romance with Rui, though Tsukasa only feigns closeness with her to make Tsukushi jealous. Initially, the possibility of friendship between Sakurako and Tsukushi remains uncertain as Sakurako acts cruelly when with Tsukasa. However, as the narrative progresses, Sakurako appears more friendly and occasionally defends Tsukushi from others with malicious intent.
