Summary
Chuchin, whose formal personal name is Shintatsu, is a student at the Daigaku in the Kingdom of En alongside Rakushun and Meiken. He earned the nickname "Chuchin," which translates to spider pillow, from an anecdote suggesting his excessive studying was so intense that spider webs formed on his pillow. He spent more than eight years studying at the Daigaku in En but ultimately abandoned his dream of becoming a government official after repeatedly failing the certification exam. He transferred all his books to Rakushun, a decision likely influenced by his need to support his wife and child.
