Summary
Meru serves as the prince of the Deep Sea and is destined to wed Natsumi Hinata, whom he regards as his princess. Suffering from amnesia regarding his childhood, family, home, and race, he and his servant Maru experience a lonely second childhood. The duo acquires the Mer Ball, the kingdom’s sacred weapon used to validate their titles, which bears a resemblance to the Kero Ball. Kululu later discloses that Meru and Maru originate from Maron, a watery planet, and that Meru was intended to flood Pekopon to establish it as his domain. They are rescued by the Keroro Platoon alongside Fuyuki and Momoka. After ensuring the corrupted Mer Ball remains out of hostile hands, Meru and Maru fall in love and bid their friends farewell as they begin a new life on Maron as prince and princess.
