Okazaki, Ushio
Summary
Ushio is the daughter of Tomoya and Nagisa. She is a well-behaved and cherished child who possesses a deep curiosity about the world. Tomoya observes that she behaves differently from other girls her age, noting that she prefers toys like robots over dolls. During a trip, he buys her a robot, which fascinates her, leading him to label her as boyish due to her interest in such items. She also shows a fondness for baseball, a passion influenced by her grandfather, Akio Furukawa, who teaches her to mimic famous players. She refers to Akio as "Akki" and addresses her grandmother by her given name, "Sanae." In the earlier parts of the story, Ushio resides with her grandparents. During this time, she adopts Akio’s enthusiasm for baseball and learns strict discipline from Sanae, who instructs her not to cry unless she is in the restroom.
