Sherry Cromwell, known as a skilled Decoder within Necessarius, possesses dark skin and typically wears a black Gothic Lolita dress. Her blonde hair is often unkempt, a trait noted by Tsuchimikado, who compares her silhouette to that of a lion. She is proficient in Kabbalah Statue art, using oil pastels or chalk to draw spells that summon a golem she calls Ellis. Her Sorcery Name is Intimus115, translating to "Everything I offer to my lost friend." Sherry arrives in Academy City with the goal of targeting a significant figure to incite conflict and eventually war between Academy City and Necessarius. During her attack, she reveals to Tōma that her motivation stems from a desire to keep science and magic divided, serving as revenge for her late friend Ellis. Ellis was an esper from Academy City involved in a secret experiment twenty years prior, conducted jointly by Academy City and a Necessarius faction, aimed at creating the first magician-esper hybrid. The experiment failed, resulting in severe injuries for the esper participants, who were subsequently killed by the Knights of England because the project violated the truce between Science and Magic. Blaming both factions for Ellis’s suffering and death, Sherry vowed to make them endure similar pain.
