Summary
Leonard Apollo serves as the head coach for the NASA Aliens squad and is a former professional NFL player celebrated for his rigorous training philosophy. His worldview shifts dramatically when he is replaced on the team by Morgan, a Black athlete possessing natural talent, leading Apollo to adopt racist sentiments targeting both African Americans and Japanese individuals. In response, he attempts to assemble an all-white roster and explicitly bans Panther from participating. However, Apollo ultimately reverses his decision after the entire Aliens team performs a dogeza to plead for Panther’s inclusion.
