Born on September 7, he is currently twenty-eight years old following the time skip and remains alive. Serving as one of the Four Heavenly Kings and a Gourmet Hunter affiliated with IGO, he is recognized for his distinctive Hors-D'oeuvre, Beautiful Skin Caviar, and his complete menu which includes Charis Lobster Soup, Skin Whitening Tuna, Perfect Beauty Cattle, Jewel Meat as his main course, Mochi Skin Bean Sprouts salad, EARTH dessert, and Charis Dragon Scale Sake. First introduced carrying a Regal Mammoth with a single arm to demonstrate immense strength akin to Toriko, Sunny actually relies on a clever trick involving his monstrously strong hair. Each individual string of hair can lift nearly 50 pounds, allowing him to manipulate them with precision. He is the older brother of Rin and presents himself as a calm, collected pretty boy who evaluates the beauty of people’s actions. His speech is elegant and flirtatious, and he possesses a unique sensor talent that lets him perceive the physical state of those around him without physical contact. This ability stems from thousands of super thin hairs capable of reaching a maximum length of 25 feet. Due to his high body temperature and powerful sense of touch, contact with his hair or body feels like he is tasting whatever he touches. Sunny strives for harmony in his cooking, defined by the perfect use of ingredients, handling, and taste. He appears to have romantic feelings for Komatsu, or at least admires his skills, because Komatsu produces the harmony Sunny seeks in meals. While he is usually composed, his demeanor changes drastically when he sees Rin. He becomes an overprotective older brother, shocked by her weight gain from excessive sweets, leading to comical sibling spats. Anyone who harms Rin risks provoking his wrath, resulting in a 999.999 percent chance of death. He is aware of Rin’s infatuation with Toriko and approves of it, stating he has no objections as long as Toriko keeps her safe. Like the other Four Heavenly Kings, he was trained by Ichiryuu, the President of IGO.
