Summary
The first Guardian Character Utau encounters is Il, a devilish girl with a penchant for conflict who finds peace utterly boring. Il claims that a Guardian Character incapable of Character Transformation is useless. After Utau briefly leaves Il, the Guardian Character becomes so bored that she actively wants Utau to return so she can continue teasing her. Il is notably rude to others, especially Yukari Sanjo, whom she insults by calling an old woman despite being in her twenties. Her name, along with El’s, is typically pronounced "Iru" and "Eru," while "Il" corresponds to the final letters of the word devIL. During a Character Change with Il, bat wings sprout from Utau’s back, allowing her song to extract X Eggs. However, this method yields a small quantity of eggs, and the targets must hear her sing live for it to work. She can also utilize this transformation to fly and launch a powerful wave of butterflies as an attack. When transforming with Il, Utau becomes Lunatic Charm, a devil character that embodies her rougher and more cunning side. This form makes its first appearance in Episode 22 of the anime.
