Huan, Yi

Summary

Huan Yi serves as a Vice General under Great General Mou Gou, having previously led a bandit group under the notorious title of Huan Yi the Beheader. His reputation is defined by extreme brutality; he shows no hesitation in executing surrendered soldiers and personally beheads every inhabitant of any city or village he conquers. To demoralize enemies, he has been known to send severely tortured Wei soldiers back to their camps accompanied by bags of eyeballs. Personality-wise, Huan Yi maintains an arrogant smirk and often speaks crudely, displaying total disrespect for his opponents. He referred to Gen Bou as "trash" and an "old fart" before killing him. Despite his cruelty, he possesses a dark sense of humor and sarcasm, once explaining that he appointed the unskilled Ogiko as a 1,000-man commander simply because it was funny. He remains cool and composed, rarely showing shock regardless of the situation. His sadistic nature is evident in how he toyed with Haku Kisai, dangling the promise of escape before stabbing him after the man refused to beg for his life. Loyalty to Mou Gou is his only allegiance. He holds the rank of Vice General and responds immediately to summons, a fact recognized by Chou Tou, who knew that Huan Yi would ignore any other request for a conversation unless Mou Gou’s name was invoked.
