Summary
Maho Yumeno is a second-year student at Takatoobara Middle School in Nagano Prefecture. She previously competed alongside Nodoka Haramura and Yuuki Kataoka in the prefectural middle school mahjong tournament. Maho admires Nodoka and was inspired by her to start playing online mahjong under the alias "Super Mahocchi." Due to her frequent association with older teammate Hiroko Murohashi, Yuuki refers to the pair as the "Muro-Maho Combination." In the first anime series, Maho and Hiroko travel to Nagano’s prefectural high school tournament to watch Nodoka’s final match. In the manga, they do not attend; instead, they are invited by Hisa Takei to join Kiyosumi High School's national tournament training camp.
