Summary
Bubbles serves as the monkey companion of King Kai, the North Kai. He plays a crucial role in the physical conditioning of trainees by acting as the target for one of two rigorous endurance tests. During this specific trial, students must chase Bubbles to catch him, a task that requires them to endure gravitational forces ten times stronger than those on Earth. Gokuu dedicates forty days to mastering this exercise. In contrast, Piccolo, who was sent to train with King Kai in Other World after being killed by the Saiyans Nappa and Vegeta, manages to catch Bubbles with relative ease. This disparity in performance stems from Piccolo’s year-long period of intense solitary training alongside Gohan while Gokuu was traversing Snake Way and beginning his own training. The difference in their capabilities prompts King Kai to exclaim that Piccolo’s success is expected, noting that this particular test was originally designed for Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chiaotzu.
