Summary
Known by the magic name Beast666, Aleister was born on October 12, 1875, and stands 175 cm tall. He possesses a vast array of abilities including Archetype Control, Spiritual Tripping, Crowley Hazards, Blood Sacrifice, Healing, Hacking, and a Genius Intellect. His magical expertise spans curses, modern Western magic, and Kabbalah. He typically utilizes a Blasting Rod and a Smartphone as weapons. Serving as the General Superintendent of Academy City, he is based on the late Aleister Crowley. He was once the greatest magician in modern magic history, with his theories influencing more than half of all modern magicians and two-fifths being direct followers. Aleister pushed the boundaries of sorcery further than in the last few millennia, authoring top-tier spellbooks like The Book of the Law. Although his death in 1947 shocked many, he had actually faked it to escape obsessing fanatics, secretly moving to Japan where he met a doctor he called Heaven Canceler. Later, Aleister, Heaven Canceler, and several other powerful individuals pooled their resources to establish Academy City in western Tokyo as one of Earth's most technologically advanced cities. Rumors of his survival eventually led mages to discover the truth. While initially relieved to find him alive, they were shocked to learn he had abandoned magic in favor of studying and developing ESPers. Today, only a few magicians, mostly leaders of powerful organizations and their trusted followers, know he is alive. Those who do view him with skepticism, curiosity, or outrage for abandoning magic to support science. He is also responsible for the truce between Science and Magic, which prevents either side from interfering in the other's affairs, a fact that has angered both groups. As the 13th Board of Director and General Director of Academy City, Aleister holds the final say on city affairs, though he often leaves daily welfare to other board members. He resides in The Windowless building, a tall, gray structure with no exterior windows and secret access. Inside, his body, which has been rejuvenated to a younger state, lies in a giant glass tube. Supported by machines created by Heaven Canceler that extend his lifespan, he plots his mysterious plans from within.
