Summary

Chi-Chi is an Earthling standing 5' 4" tall and weighing 110 lbs, born in Age 737. Her daily life revolves around working on the farm and overseeing her son Gohan’s education, with chimaki serving as her favorite food and the tractor as her preferred vehicle. As the wife of Son Goku and mother to Son Gohan and Son Goten, she is characterized as a well-meaning but often nagging and overprotective figure who prioritizes her family’s safety even when their paths diverge. Her relationship with Goku began in childhood when he promised to marry her under the mistaken belief that marriage was a type of food. Years later, she encountered him at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai, and despite his admission of misunderstanding her original intent, he honored his vow by proposing. As an adult, Chi-Chi strongly disapproved of Goku’s dangerous lifestyle, initially banning Gohan from training to prevent him from following in his father’s footsteps. However, existential threats from villains like Vegeta and Freeza forced her to allow Gohan to train under Piccolo and Goku. She later managed Goten’s training herself while Gohan was away at school. Chi-Chi possesses a volatile temper, capable of exploding into violent rage over minor annoyances, which causes the Z Warriors to fear her and go to great lengths to avoid angering her.
