Summary
Elran serves as a General for the Earth Federation and is stationed on General Revil's flagship, the Big Tray. In secret, he collaborates with Zeon Captain M'Quve, receiving instructions through an intermediary soldier named Judoch. As Operation Odessa nears, M'Quve instructs Elran to hold back Federation forces on specific fronts. When Amuro and Sayla observe Judoch’s plane departing from Zeon-controlled territory, they track it back to the Big Tray. Amuro confronts Elran with evidence proving Judoch is a spy. Elran attempts to shoot Amuro, but the confrontation was monitored, leading to his arrest.
