Summary
Genbu Kururugi serves as the late father of Suzaku and stands as the final Prime Minister of Japan. He provided sanctuary to Lelouch and Nunnally Lamperouge during their time as political hostages in exile, an event that occurred seven years before the main narrative begins. When the invasion by Britannia commenced, Genbu rejected the idea of surrender, choosing instead to engage in endless resistance against the empire. His story continues to be explored in the series Nightmare of Nunnally, as well as in Suzaku of the Counterattack.
