Summary
Gluttony serves as the second homunculus introduced in the series and is frequently seen alongside Lust. He is a large, intellectually simple creature whose thoughts are almost exclusively consumed by the desire to eat. Possessing powerful jaws and acidic saliva, he is capable of consuming virtually anything, with a particular fondness for eating people. He only finds satisfaction in combat if he anticipates being able to devour his opponent afterward. A recurring gag involves him repeatedly asking Lust or other homunculi for permission to eat someone, revealing a preference for consuming females. He appears to share a strong bond with his partner, Lust. While the 2003 anime series provides no significant details regarding his role, he is identified in the manga and the 2009 anime adaptation as the sixth homunculus created by Father.
