Summary
Youko is a 16-year-old honor student in Japan who leads a fairly ordinary life, primarily concerned with her naturally red hair. Her routine is disrupted when a man named Keiki suddenly appears at school, bowing at her feet and swearing his loyalty to her. Shortly after, the school comes under attack by a giant bird, leading Youko to reluctantly accept his protection. Keiki then hands her a sword and transports her, along with two of her classmates, to the kingdom of Kou.
