Mrs. Hesse
Summary
Mrs. Hess served as an accomplice to Johan Liebert. She initially presented herself at counseling sessions with Dr. Julius Reichwein, frequently complaining about marital difficulties with her husband. Reichwein recommended that her husband attend a session as well, a suggestion she accepted. The man who arrived, however, was Roberto, who intended to personally murder Dr. Reichwein due to his investigations into the death of his former patient and friend, Detective Richard Braun. Reichwein was only spared through the timely intervention of his former student, Dr. Kenzo Tenma. Later, Mrs. Hess appeared at a book donation ceremony held at the University of Munich library, an event attended by business tycoon Hans Georg Schuwald and his secretary, Johan Liebert. Following Johan’s instructions, she secretly poured gasoline among the bookshelves, struck a match, and ignited the building while mimicking his gestures, thereby confirming her involvement in his schemes. It remains unclear whether Mrs. Hess is actually married to Roberto; it is likely that her claims of marriage were fabricated or that she is in an open relationship with him, given his frequent sexual encounters with other women such as Sausage, Blue Sophie, and Eva Heinemann. Her ultimate fate is never shown.
