Urd is the older half-sister of Belldandy and serves as the Yggdrasil System Administrator and Manager. She is the second Goddess to encounter Keiichi, holding the rank of Goddess Second Class in the management category with a limited license, a status similar to her youngest sister Skuld. Although she possesses greater power than her siblings, she was denied promotion to first class because her desire for strength was driven solely by the wish to protect her sisters rather than all beings. Urd shares a father with her younger sisters but has a different mother, the Demon Lord Hild, making her a hybrid of Goddess and Demon. This dual nature is visually represented by her Angel, World of Elegance, which features half-white and half-black coloring. Viewing herself as a Goddess of Love, Urd travels to Earth to support Keiichi using love potions and well-intentioned but misleading advice. However, The Almighty banishes her from Heaven indefinitely as punishment for abandoning her post and using her powers on Earth without authorization. After eventually being permitted to return, she chooses to remain on Earth instead.
