Summary
Driven by a fierce desire to avenge his father’s death at the hands of Askeladd, Thorfinn is tricked into joining the latter’s band with the intent of defeating him in a fair duel. He is the son of Thors, the most celebrated Jomsviking warrior before his defection, and is connected to Jomsviking leadership through his mother Helga, who is the daughter of chief Sigvaldi and the niece of Thorkell. Raised on the battlefield after his father’s demise, Thorfinn becomes a highly skilled combatant who relies on dual-wielding knives and throwing weapons, showcasing remarkable durability. This character serves as the fictionalized representation of the historical Icelandic explorer Thorfinn Karlsefni.
