Summary

Izumo Kamizuki serves as a chunin in the Hidden Leaf Village, where he is consistently paired with his close friend and colleague, Kotetsu Hagane. The duo makes their initial appearance attempting to dissuade the genin participants from entering the Chunin Exams, a role that is later clarified as them serving as proctors for the event. Following the conclusion of the exams, the Fifth Hokage appoints both of them as her assistants, a position that also entails their duties as guards stationed at the village’s main gate. Izumo is rarely depicted without Kotetsu, and the pair continues to appear in the Shippuden series.
