Summary
Yuru is the "night" twin of Asa, a sixteen-year-old boy raised in a secluded mountain village. As the twin separated by day and night, he is destined to wield the power of Fuu and serves as the master of Sayuu-sama: Left and Right. Raised in isolation, Yuru is resilient, resourceful, and fiercely loyal to his family, particularly his sister. He is a skilled archer trained as a hunter from a young age, possessing impressive aim that has saved him and his loved ones multiple times. His quick reflexes and indomitable demeanor have earned him the moniker "wild" from Gab, and alongside Asa, they are known as the "monster siblings" because they believe every child should carry "an ax or two." Yuru is incredibly selfless and family-oriented. Prior to the village siege, he reassured his fake sister, Fake Asa, that he would remain in the village for life to protect her. He is also known to Ryu Tadera for asking for nothing for himself but always requesting a souvenir for Asa. Despite his tough exterior, he is compassionate and empathetic, often moved by the plight of others. However, his isolated upbringing has shaped his thinking in absurd yet comical ways, such as being impressed by food tastes, feeding hay to a car thinking it is an animal, mistaking planes for dragons, or memorizing the use of a bathroom. Unlike his sister, Yuru is more straightforward, with a rough and suspicious demeanor. His journey to the modern world has been challenging, and while he may appear like a hillbilly, his natural intelligence allows him to learn easily in the face of new technologies and societal norms. He still struggles with worldly ways, often coming across as naive or simple to those around him. Nevertheless, he is determined to unravel the mysteries surrounding his sister's imprisonment and their separation, refusing to rest until he finds the truth. This fish out of water status gives him a unique perspective, allowing him to see through facades and illusions that hide the truth. Driven by a sense of justice and a desire to protect those he cares about, even at great personal cost, Yuru is a true hero at heart who can be stubborn and headstrong but is also capable of listening to reason and adjusting his approach when necessary.
