Hikoichi
Summary
Hikoichi serves as Shinsuke’s fence, first appearing to advise him on how to dispose of his opium supply. He demands a seventy percent cut of the profits, a deal Shinsuke reluctantly accepts. Later, Kogoro and his gang torture Hikoichi to force him to reveal the identity of the person who supplied him with the drugs.
