Originally ranked as the third strongest of his generation, Dauf was surpassed only by Rigaldo and Isley. He serves as a follower of Riful. Despite his high status, he is notably unintelligent and lacks tactical skill. His regeneration and healing capabilities are also quite slow. During his debut, he engaged both Clare and Galatea in battle, managing to hold them to a standstill because neither could pierce through his armor.
