Summary

When Shinichi Kudo was shrunk by the APTX 4869 drug and enrolled in Tsuburaya Mitsuhiko’s class at Teitan Elementary, Mitsuhiko quickly became part of a new group dynamic. His classmates Ayumi and Genta proposed investigating a mansion rumored to be haunted, and they managed to convince Conan to join them. Although Mitsuhiko was skeptical about supernatural phenomena, Genta forcefully persuaded him to accompany the group as well. The haunting turned out to be a cover for an old homicide case, and after solving the mystery, the four decided to stick together, forming the core of what would eventually become the Detective Boys. It is later disclosed that Mitsuhiko’s parents are both teachers and that he has an older sister named Tsuburaya Asami, who is approximately ten years his senior. Mitsuhiko is a bright and well-read first-grader who has a fondness for reading science books and applying a scientific method to problem-solving. He holds a strong belief that technology can resolve most issues. Raised in a strict and formal household, he tends to address adults with the formal suffix "-san," regardless of how close his relationship is with them. Additionally, Mitsuhiko has a known dislike for carrots, ensuring that he eats them last if he has to consume them at all.
