Summary
Zoroark is a bipedal, slate-gray, fox-like Pokémon featuring crimson and black accents. It possesses a pointed snout and ears with red interiors, while red markings rim its eyes and mouth. A large, voluminous red mane with black tips is tied back into a ponytail, separated from the lower portion by a teal bangle running along its length. A black ruff adorns its upper body, tapering at the shoulders where its arms extend. The upper arms are slender, while the lower arms are slightly bulkier, featuring spiky fur extensions at the elbows. Its hands and feet bear red claws, and its eyes have light blue irises surrounded by red rims. Zoroark generates illusions indistinguishable from reality, capable of deceiving numerous individuals simultaneously. It can construct illusory landscapes within its forest habitat to conceal its territory and protect its den. Although it cannot physically transform, it can cast highly realistic illusions, such as convincing attack visuals that fool cameras and trick victims into believing they are physically harmed, despite having no actual physical effect. When assuming a human form, Zoroark can speak human language. Lonely Trainers often utilize Zoroark to alleviate their solitude through these illusions. Legends suggest Zoroark punishes those attempting to capture it with illusions. Living in tight-knit groups, it is fiercely protective of its companions, willing to risk its life to keep them safe and holding grudges against those who harm them. It hides its Zorua young within its mane for protection. Hisuian Zoroark is an ancient regional form. Originating in the Hisui region, this variant appears ghostly due to dying from harsh conditions and being reborn through spite. Its main body is disheveled light gray with red and white accents. The head and face resemble its Unovan counterpart but are gray, featuring black-insided ears with light red splits and two white facial markings. Its mane is longer, white with light and dark red tips, covering the right side of its face. Red spots and dangling light red fur adorn its arms and legs, while its claws and toes are black. Its eyes are red with yellow sclera. Resembling an embodiment of death, Hisuian Zoroark channels spite through its withering fur, creating illusions capable of causing physical harm both internally and externally. This power stems from its hatred of all living things, with malicious illusions powerful enough to drive observers insane with terror. It attacks recklessly, sometimes harming itself with its own bitter energy. Despite its hostile nature, it can show compassion to those it cares about, such as Hisuian Zorua, and becomes a valuable ally once trust is earned. It prefers cold regions and can create convincing human illusions to deceive others for food. Zoroark evolves from Zorua, while Hisuian Zoroark evolves from Hisuian Zorua.
