Hondou, Eisuke
Summary
Hondou Eisuke enters the narrative shortly after Conan’s confrontation with the Black Organization, which exposes popular newscaster Mizunashi Rena as an operative. He enrolls at Teitan High School and quickly befriends Mouri Ran and Suzuki Sonoko, who immediately notice his resemblance to Mizunashi. During a visit to Mouri Kogoro’s office, Eisuke crosses paths with Conan. Showing intense interest in the detective’s work, he accepts Ran’s invitation to visit freely, a development that alarms Conan due to his growing suspicions. These suspicions are validated when Eisuke’s clumsy mistakes in subsequent cases inadvertently aid in solving them. Despite his reputation for extreme bad luck and constant clumsiness, Eisuke possesses a sharp intellect and keen observational skills. He successfully tracks his missing sister to Haido Central Hospital, where the FBI holds her under guard, and infiltrates the facility to confront Mizunashi Rena, who is revealed to be his sister, Hondou Hidemi, before Conan discovers him. Additionally, Eisuke deduces the identity of Shinichi as Conan prior to meeting him and later forces the truth out of the young detective.
