Summary
Ayumu Kasuga is a transfer student hailing from Osaka. Her classmate Tomo, anticipating that she would fit the stereotype of a loud, exuberant Osaka native who loves jokes, bestowed upon her the nickname "Osaka." However, Ayumu’s demeanor is the exact opposite of this expectation. She finds the moniker "slow" and "spacey," yet she lacks the energy or motivation to correct anyone. The name sticks so firmly that even her teachers and the class roster refer to her as Osaka, causing her real name to be forgotten by everyone. In the manga, she reveals that she lived in Kobe during elementary school and was born in Wakayama. Tomo, admitting she does not know where Wakayama is, simply tells Ayumu to "just be Osaka."
