E.G. the Mine

Summary

E.G. the Mine is a violent individual clad in a spherical suit equipped with control threads that deploy lethal spikes. By manipulating these threads, he can hurl the spikes at his targets. In the manga, he appears as the second Gung-Ho-Guns to challenge Vash, proudly displaying the corpse of the first Gun, Monev the Gale, as a threat. However, he is quickly disarmed when Vash dodges his fired spikes and shoots off the straps holding the sphere together in one swift motion. In the first anime, he serves as the third Gun to challenge Vash, displaying the bodies of both Monev the Gale and Dominique the Cyclops. He is subsequently killed by Rai-Dei the Blade after Vash defeats him. In Trigun Stampede, his true name is Ethan Gilbert. He was formerly known as E.G. Bomber before changing his name to E.G. the Mine after meeting Willian Conrad and Knives. He is now equipped with lost technology and uses bombs as weapons.
