Summary

Born on October 21 with blood type O, Mikuru Asahina is a shy and timid girl characterized by a childish naïveté. Standing at 152 cm, she is considered one of the most beautiful girls in high school, possessing a cute face, a trim figure, and a noticeably sizable bust. She is kind, caring, and thoughtful, yet she is easily scared or flustered and appears prone to daydreaming. While she can be clumsy, she displays surprising resilience, capable of recovering from even the most discomforting situations. Despite this inner strength, her gentle nature often makes her seem helpless, prompting Kyon to feel it is his duty to watch over and protect her. Mikuru is the only character, aside from Kyon, to be brought into the SOS Brigade against her will. Haruhi Suzumiya deemed it necessary to have an alluring lolita type in the club, leading to Mikuru being "voluntarily arrested." She serves as the designated mascot of the group, used to attract interest and members through her physical appeal. Haruhi frequently exploits Mikuru’s sex appeal and innocence to procure resources, forcing her to wear various outfits purchased by the club president. These include maid, waitress, nurse, frog, cheerleader, miko, and the infamous bunny-girl costumes. Haruhi also insists on dressing and undressing Mikuru herself, a situation that causes Mikuru considerable and vocal distress. Kyon describes her as extremely cute, and she is often subjected to sexual harassment by Haruhi. The name Mikuru derives from Miku, which corresponds to the Kanji for Mirai, meaning future.
