Summary

Umatarou Tenma, a title that translates to Pegasus or Heaven-horse in Japanese, was a distinguished roboticist who also served as the Japanese Minister of Science. Following the tragic car accident that claimed the life of his nine-year-old son, Tobio, Tenma resolved to recreate the boy by building the invincible robot known as Atom.
