Summary
Chief Inspector of the Jousai District Police, which covers Setagaya, Nerima, Nakano, and Suginami, this human character hails from Jousai, Tokyo, Japan. He serves as a parody of Tetsuya Watari’s cop character, Raisuke Kuroiwa, from the TV series Daitokai. When trouble arises, he and his subordinates, the Akaiwa Corps (Akaiwa Gundan), often arrive with machine guns blazing but typically depart without actually resolving the situation. His favorite technique is Kenka Sappou Gobugari Special (喧嘩殺法五分刈スペシャル), and his theme song is "Hitori" (ひとり) by Tetsuya Watari in the manga. While he only appears in two stories in the manga during the Kaijuu Extermination Arc, he appears frequently in the anime. Due to legal reasons, his anime name is changed to "Gobugari (五分刈 "close haircut"), Police Inspector of the West Sumidagawa Station." He was briefly referenced in Ultimate Muscle as "Detective Tommy Gunn."
