Itsuwa

Summary

This Amakusa Catholic girl harbors deep romantic feelings for Tōma that border on true love, though her shyness prevents her from acting on them or conveying her emotions. She has joined Tōma and his friends on several journeys, including trips to Italy, France, and England. During the events of the 16th novel, she assumes the role of his caretaker. When Acqua launches his initial attack, she fails to protect Tōma, repeatedly attempting to heal him with magic but failing due to his Imagine Breaker. Devastated by this failure, she despairs while Tōma is hospitalized. Tatemiya Saiji rebukes her sadness, urging her to look toward the future and focus on proving that Tōma’s decision to protect her was worthwhile when Acqua strikes again. In the subsequent rematch between the Amakusa Catholics and Acqua, following Tōma’s near-death experience, she undergoes a drastic personality shift, exhibiting a tranquil fury that alters her demeanor and speech. During this battle, she executes a Saint Destroyer, damaging Acqua and stripping him of the Divine Mother's Mercy. Her primary weapon is a Friulian Spear, which she enhances with layers of reinforcement to transform it into a symbol of the Thousand Years Tree. This form represents plant growth and amplifies the potency of her magic spells over time. Additionally, she can perform Nanasen by manipulating her spear and steel wires in a manner similar to Kanzaki Kaori.
